Ashley and Hernando visited the Wolf Lake Nike Missile Monument at the William Powers Recreation Area. This park is actually the site of an missile site that housed missiles in case there was an attack on the surrounding steel mills. This monument is there to honor all the veterans in the Southeast Side of Chicago. We took an adventure to find the old doors to the underground units. They are not cemented over. . . bummer! Our mileage for this trip was 647.72 miles. I love to travel! So far Hernando has traveled 3,766.72 miles with CI 424-002.
